Silent Hill fans should keep their expectations for a reboot or revival in check. Publisher Konami denied rumors that it’s working with Sony on a new Silent Hills game, and it’s unclear when players might see a new entry.Earlier this month, horror-focused media site Rely on Horror reported that Konami partnered with Sony’s Japan Studio to create a, as well as a revival of the canceled Silent Hills game with Kojima Productions. The latter was described as a Telltale-like game that focused heavily on narrative. Rely on Horror said it had multiple sources corroborating this information. However, those reports are completely inaccurate, according to Konami.“We’re aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true,” a Konami.
“I know it’s not the answer your fans may want to hear.”Whether this is Konami’s way of keeping its in-development games a secret remains to be seen, but the company has not forgotten the Silent Hill franchise entirely. That it was soliciting players’ feedback to determine how best to develop the next game. At the time, another rumor was spreading that two Silent Hill games were in development, with one using an episodic format.Should Hideo Kojima work with Konami again on a future project, it would be a significant shift in their relationship. The auteur game maker left Konami in late 2015, shortly after Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain released.
Konami legally prevented him from attending The Game Awards that year. Silent Hills, created in collaboration with Norman Reedus and film director Guillermo del Toro, was canceled several months prior to his departure, but the three would again work together on Death Stranding. Reedus has since said he’s discussing another project with Kojima, but hasn’t indicated whether it’s related to Death Stranding, Silent Hills, or something else.In the meantime, Silent Hill’s main competitor Resident Evil is here to pick up the slack. The Resident Evil 3 remake and Resident Evil: Resistance are both just a few weeks away, and it has been rumored that the unannounced Resident Evil 8 and protagonist Ethan Winters from Resident Evil 7.Editors' Recommendations.
Submitted on 7/26/2018 Review title of Nocturne Bladetwo of my favorite games, re released poorly.silent hill 2 & 3 are some of the best horror games ever made, with immersive stories, beautiful soundtracks and some of the most amazing atmospheres you can find in a game. This port though does have issues.

Terrible fog, terrible silent hill 3 new voice acting, frame drops and more, but despite those problems the games are enjoyable. If you dont have access to the original versions, this will suffice at least. Submitted on 8/17/2019 Review title of Jellyfishking13Demented port of two of the greatest games of all timeI wish I could lock Konami in Toluca Prison and then lose the keys like they lost the code for SH2. The HD Collection is nothing short to an epic butchery of masterpieces. If you enjoy watching beloved and beautiful stories wildly gored to ribbons before your very eyes, then this is definitely for you.
Upon purchasing, you will be treated to such pestilence as removed scenery and environmental detail, devolved fog effects - inferior to those of the predecessor from nearly two decades prior (released on a triple last gen console), and constant framerate dips absent from the true versions even WITHOUT having the original graphical assets sent into the aether. I almost considered giving the HD Collection 2 stars, simply for the concept of these gems having achievements giving me a smile, but then, in their final act of heresy, Konami defecates down the eardrums of the SH fanbase, attemping to overshadow the original, legendary VA cast with conniption-inducingly soulless replacements. Submitted on 7/25/2018 Review title of WitchTrialzA disrespectful MESS.But any port in a storm, right? To anyone that wants to jump into Silent Hill fandom, you may see the Silent Hill HD collection and think you have found the survival horror oasis in the gaming desert.
You may have already heard the controversy swirling around this collection and say to yourself 'I can handle a few bugs!' .This collection FAR worse then 'a few bugs'. Its not even 'a few game breaking bugs'. Its the pinnacle of Konamis mission to sabotage its own franchise.

To understand any of it, you have to go back to when this franken-abomination was developed. Tasked with the sacred duty of handling the two most iconic games in history, Konami decided to NOT build upon and improve, but instead rip and gouge old code from the orginal titles and SLAP it onto a DVD-R then say '.okay its done'. When asked if Xbox would recieve an update to fix this mess, they flat out said 'NO'.BUT, they ARE still here on your Xbox, and this collection is still a part of gaming history. So.Respect the past.and enjoy this mess.
